Your private film lists
Your want-to-watch, watched, and owned lists stay in this browser's local storage. They are not uploaded to GoodTakes or Knomee. Clearing browser data removes them. My Films lets you export a copy to a file. Recommend and Not for me are public takes, separate from these private lists.
Public takes
Published takes, replies, reactions, and agreement or counter-stakes are public by design. A take may include your public wallet or Knomee identity, its text, stance, declared VIBE, semantic commitment, and any on-chain settlement record.
Blockchain records are permanent and world-readable. Removing an app record cannot remove an existing chain transaction.
Accounts and custody
Sign in through Knomee to use your existing identity in GoodTakes. Knomee manages account authentication and custody; GoodTakes does not offer a separate social-provider login. A short-lived, browser-bound request completes the return to GoodTakes. Authentication proofs and tokens are never included in the public catalog or M4 mirror. GoodTakes does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
An unfinished take can stay in this tab's session storage for up to a day so signing in does not discard your text. It is not published until you choose to publish. Closing the tab clears its session storage.
Public mirror
The public catalog, source metadata, poster assets with recorded rights information, public takes, aggregates, and static application are mirrored to an independently served M4 host. Private lists, authentication tokens, email addresses, and custody keys are not part of that mirror.
On-device processing
If you write a take, GoodTakes can load a semantic model in your browser to create a vector commitment and work-axis preview. The review text is not sent to a model service for that calculation. Publishing the take still sends the text and commitment to the Knomee backend.
Controls
- Clear this site's browser storage to remove private local taste state.
- Sign out or disconnect a wallet at any time.
- Edit or delete app-level takes where the product offers those controls.
- Never include sensitive personal information in a public take.
